Our Story

Pablo started in the forest industry during his DEP in silvicultural work at the CFP of Mont-Laurier in 2012. He could not tell the difference between a spruce and a pine tree before this experience, but he has found a passion and a fascinating world. He then decided to continue his apprenticeship by completing his bachelor's degree in Forest Operations at Laval University in Quebec City.

Working in the Forest Industry

In 2015, during his studies, he founded Services Forestiers des Sommets. The goal of the company was to be able to work in the forest industry while pursuing his university studies. He carried out several projects such as inventory in the maple groves of Beauce and follow-up inventory of permanent plots for large private properties in the north of Quebec.

Forest Planting and Maintenance

He also managed non-commercial work (planting and forest conservation) on federal lands at the Farnham and Valcartier military bases. He also worked with a forest contractor to manage forest operations on public lands in the region. After completing his education as a forest engineer, he returned to his home region of the Laurentians.

Services Forestiers des Sommets is Located in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts

After working for an experienced forest consultant in the region, the entrepreneurial call in him came back. Since July 2019, Services Forestiers des Sommets is located in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and offers forest engineering and forest operations services. The company recently moved to the municipality of Rivière-Rouge but continues to serve the entire Laurentian territory. Since October 2019, the company has acquired a cable skidder and hired staff to perform careful tree cutting at forest owners in the area.
